Lumbini Cable Car runs a passenger cable car that starts at Golpark (Bamghat) in Butwal and climbs to Basantpur in Tinahu Rural Municipality, where the hilltop Kamakhya Devi Temple stands. The line is 2.6 km long and runs on nine towers. It has 25 gondolas that each seat eight people, plus two baggage carriages. A ride takes 9–12 minutes, and the system can carry up to 6,000 passengers a day. At the top, visitors can also try a zipline and cycling, which makes the cable car a religious, leisure and adventure destination for the Butwal–Lumbini region.
