Jyoti Bikas Bank Ltd.

Jyoti Bikas Bank Ltd. (JBBL) is a national-level “B” class development bank licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank. It began operating in 2008. Its founding promoters were mainly employees of the Nepal Electricity Authority, together with businesspeople, professionals and ordinary citizens, and the bank originally focused on financing hydropower projects. It later grew by merging with Jhimruk Bikas Bank and acquiring Raptiveri Bikas Bank and Hamro Bikas Bank, raising its paid-up capital from NPR 259 million to more than NPR 4 billion. Today JBBL offers full commercial banking services through 117 branches and 75 ATMs, along with digital banking through its mobile app.
